We go beyond being a traditional business lender, we are a collective of seasoned business professionals and entrepreneurs, fueled by the passion of our volunteer Board of Directors. We have been serving the community for over 30 years, and have been the catalyst for rural entrepreneurs, helping them not just survive but thrive as small business owners. We don't just see where you are; we want to help you get to where you are going.

Community Futures Highwood, funded in part by Prairies Economic Development Canada, is a vital piece in creating economic prosperity for entrepreneurs in the Highwood region. Since 1986, we have been a driving force behind small business support and rural economic diversification, with 267 offices across the country.

We help entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the Highwood region, including: Aldersyde, Arrowwood, Blackie, Carmangay, Cayley, Champion, De Winton, Diamond Valley, Foothills County, High River, Lomond, Longview, Millarville, Milo, Mossleigh, Nanton, Okotoks, Parkland, Priddis, and Vulcan.
Our ultimate goal is to help our area grow and thrive through economic diversification - we help companies across all industries, with a strong history of helping those in the agricultural and tourism sectors.
Rural Economic Diversification
Rural Economic Diversification is the core of what we do. We work alongside community leaders and other key stakeholders to create Community Economic Development plans and implement projects that support value-added activity and expansion into new sectors.
We take the pulse of our business community and provide guidance on business retention and succession planning strategies.
